As you've probably been able to tell for the last two months, I have a sinus cold. I finally have a doctor's appointment about it tomorrow. Also, my good camera broke. So between those two things I'm going to take a hiatus from "Chad'z Beer Reviews" until I have a new camera and I'm feeling better.
Also, there's a chance a very special BeerTuber, all the way from the West Coast, might be stopping by!
Be sure to follow me on my website, facebook and twitter so you don't miss anything.

Someone requested I chug this one. I'm not sure why because I've never done a video of me chugging anything else. But since I had the time I figured I'd give this Monster that's a whopping 50% juice a try. I think there's only one other Monster product that I haven't tried yet.
If you're a regular viewer of this channel you know my friend Shaun by now. He's brewed many homebrews on his own and made this one specifically to give to his mom. I can't remember if it was for Mother's Day or her birthday, or what. But he asked me to review it because his mom actually watches this show from time to time and both him and her want to know what I thought of this homebrew.
He never did send me the recipe for this.

Egads! A DIET soda review?! Yup, for the first time ever I'm breaking my own rule of no diet sodas, due to the fact this one came as part of a promotional (i.e. free) gift basket. So I'd like to extend the senders at http://www.wowgiftboxes.com a thank you by reviewing every soda that came in the A&W gift box they sent me.

I bringing "Chad Tries..." out of retirement for this special episode. I was sent a promotional "A&W Gift Box" from http://www.wowgiftboxes.com to try out. It comes with a bunch of A&W soda products and some candy and other sweets. There's a few things in the commercial version that weren't included, but that's okay. I'll be reviewing the sodas individually over the next few weeks. This is meant to just examine the food products in the box. Decide for yourself if you think it's worth the money they're asking for it. http://www.wowgiftboxes.com/Root_Beer_Box_p/root-beer-box.htm

This is my first time ever transferring a homebrew to secondary. I even went out and dropped $50 on a glass carboy. Shaun is a big fan of secondary, and since we're entering this beer in a competition I figure it couldn't hurt. We also dry hopped the beer, but we had a heck of a time trying to figure out how to get the hops in the carboy AND how we'll be able to get it back out! We'll bottle it in 10 days or so.

Remember how I brewed that hefeweizen? Well now it's time to give it a taste test. Although I think the title of this video is probably a spoiler. Shaun helped me taste test it on the same night we were transferring our black IPA into secondary (video of that coming in a few days). Feedback on this video is much appreciated.

You guys seem to love the energy drink reviews (although I really have no idea why), so I decided to keep the ball rolling and review yet another Monster "Rehab" series. This time it's the "Rojo Tea" which is made with cranberries and some weird tea I've never heard of. I loved the tea & lemonade and the green tea one was pretty good, too. How would this one compare?

After a looooooooong hiatus, "Chad'z Energy Drink Reviews" are back! Well, maybe not permanently but at least for now. I've received a LOT of requests to review more of the "Monster Rehab" line, so I picked up a can of this while waiting in line at Wal-Mart. I really liked the tea & lemonade flavor, but I've never been a big fan of anything with green tea in it. Which way would this one go?

Even though I just homebrewed a hefeweizen it's time for another beer already! This time it's a Black IPA that I'm entering into a homebrew contest held by "The Ruck" bar in Troy. Jay was actually supposed to brew this with me, we had discussed it for months, but at the last minute (literally) he got a call from The Ruck asking him to be a judge, so he chose to do that instead. Thankfully, Shaun stepped up to the plate with his own recipe and all the ingredients. I picked out all the hops though. He even made a yeast starter. So here's us brewing a Black IPA in my kitchen.
